Computational skills primer

A presentation on the computational skills and tools that are required to avoid common annoyances in bioinformatics. It acts as both an introduction and a compendium of several concepts and caveats, and goes through various scenarios and how to best deal with them. It touches on a wide array of subjects, ranging from reproducible (code) projects, how to keep your Python/R package installation organized, to working on remote servers with ssh. It was created for my research group’s annual workshop/brainstorm retreat (2019).

The slides are available at: https://pmoris.github.io/computational-skills . They were created using the HTML presentation framework reveal.js .
